Why Parents Choose Us
for Pediatric Dentistry in Post Falls
Drs. Bryant Zollinger and Taylor Zollinger aren't just respected dentists—they're also dads who understand how important it is to find the right healthcare providers for your children. Here are just a few reasons why parents throughout the area choose us to provide their kids with the dental care they need:
We can be your child's guide in achieving and maintaining excellent oral health for a lifetime.

Is Your Child Due for a Checkup?
The American Dental Association recommends that children undergo their first dental checkup by their first birthday, or when their first tooth erupts—whichever happens first. After that, children should undergo a checkup every six months, unless their dentist believes they should be seen more often for certain conditions. By starting your child's routine of regular checkups with us, we can:
- Establish a positive relationship with dental care
- Provide valuable input regarding their nutrition
- Set the stage for healthy adult teeth
- Detect causes of sleep issues and recommend treatment to help them become better able to learn, grow, and get the most from each day
- Detect any dental issues early, when they are easiest to treat
- Establish excellent oral health habits
Our practice is equipped to treat your entire family. This isn't just convenient—it also allows us to document how certain genetic factors affect your family's oral health so we can provide more effective preventative care.

Affordable Holistic Care
For Your Entire Family
Being out-of-network with insurance providers gives us the freedom to spend as much time during consultations as we see fit, and to provide the treatment we believe will best meet your child's needs. This doesn't make us unaffordable—our team will gladly work directly with your insurer to help you claim reimbursement for your care.
If you are uninsured, or if you need treatment that is not covered by your insurance plan, we work with CareCredit® financing. This popular third-party lender provides low-interest loans that make even extensive dental treatment affordable on virtually any budget.

Sleep Breathing Helping Your Child Get Quality Rest
Jaw development and other aspects of your child's oral health can affect their breathing during sleep. Childhood sleep apnea can keep your child from getting the rest they need, causing them to be irritable, hyperactive, and inattentive during the day. During your child's visit to our office, we can discuss any symptoms your child may be experiencing, and look for issues that may be causing or eventually lead to sleep apnea.
Frenectomy
The band of tissue connecting the tongue to the floor of the mouth is called the lingual frenulum. In some children, this tissue can obstruct tongue movement, affecting their ability to breathe properly at night (a condition called "tongue tie"). Our dentists can use a laser to refine the tissue quickly and with minimal discomfort, allowing proper tongue movement and restoring their ability to breathe properly during sleep.
Jaw Expansion
A narrow jaw can contribute to breathing difficulty during sleep. If our dentists find that your child needs intervention to achieve proper jaw development, we provide comfortable custom mouthpieces. Wearing their mouthpiece for a prescribed duration each day can guide the natural development of the jaw in a way that improves sleep breathing now and prevents sleep issues in adulthood.
